Privacy Policy

TyLinis built to be a private space for your closest circle. We collect as little as possible, we don't run ads, and we never sell your information. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

• Account info: your name and email address, and a securely scrambled (hashed) version of your password — we can never see your actual password.
• What you share: the posts, comments, reactions, photos, events, trips, and chat messages you create.
• Basic technical data: standard information your browser sends (like the type of device) needed to deliver the service.

How we use it

We use your information only to run TyLin: to show your content to the members of your circle, to send you account emails (such as sign-up alerts to your admin and password-reset links), and to keep the service secure and working. We do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Who can see your content

Your posts and photos are visible only to members of your circle. They are not public and not shared with other circles. The exceptions are features you choose to use — for example, creating a public share link for a single album or event — which only share what that link points to.

Service providers

A few trusted companies help us run TyLin. They only process data on our behalf to provide their service:

• Hosting: our app and database run on a cloud host.
• Backups:encrypted-in-transit backups are stored with a cloud storage provider so your memories aren't lost.
• Email: we use an email provider (Resend) to send account and password emails.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account anytime from Settings, which removes your posts, comments, reactions, and messages. Backups are kept on a rotating schedule and age out automatically over time.

Security

Connections to TyLin are encrypted, and passwords are stored only as secure hashes. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

TyLinisn't intended for children under 13. If a younger family member uses it, a parent or guardian should manage their account.

Your choices

You can view and edit your profile, delete your content, and delete your account at any time. If you'd like a copy of your data or have a privacy question, contact us using the email below.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we'll change the date at the top. Please review it occasionally.
